Manufacturing Rail Components
Using the latest state-of-the-art machinery and technology, we have produced plastic injection moulded components to the rail industry both in the UK and overseas. Our rail products have been exported to customers in Europe, the US, and the Far East.
We have extensive experience of the wider transport sector, and we are well-versed when it comes to working to tight tolerances. We have an in-house, expert Quality Engineering department, and we apply the most rigorous quality and inspection services to each project.
We provide a 360˚ service from concept through to final delivery of parts. Once we have received your final CAD design, we build the tool, manufacture the injection moulded parts, and arrange delivery with you.
We also offer design-for-manufacture, specialist material sourcing and testing, tool repair and modification (of RP manufactured tools), insert moulding, and overmoulding.
We have a team of specialist plastic injection moulding managers and technicians, with decades of experience between them. We provide expert advice when sourcing, testing, and trialling the materials to ensure that the chosen grade of plastic is the best possible fit for the end application.
Our manufactured components are fully compliant with rail industry standards. We ensure full adherence to the rail industry’s regulations on material flammability. We also ensure that all materials conform to the highest standards of durability, safety, and functionality.
We will make sure that each high engineered plastic we use meets the European EN 45545 standards. We also use lightweight and high efficiency materials because we understand how important it is in the rail sector to support the development of efficient transportation.
We have produced products for an extensive range of rail applications within trams, regional and national trains, subways, and freight/commercial trains. We have manufactured seat shells, air ducts, window pillar cladding, and door mechanism covers.
In addition to these interior features and fittings, we have also produced many plastic injection moulded components for external use. These include guide rails, cable clamps, signal and control covers, rail pads, conduits, connection boxes, cable protection units, trims, pipes and tubes, cladding, panels, and covers.
