What We Offer
For many products, the tooling requirements at prototype stage look very different to those at full production. RP can manage that entire journey, applying the right tooling solution at the right stage.
Early-stage development and low-volume production can be handled using UK-manufactured aluminium tooling, fast to produce, easy to modify and ideal for proving a design before committing to production tooling.
If and when the design is proven or volumes increase, we can transition to cost-effective production tooling sourced through our established overseas partner network. We specify the tooling, oversee quality, handle communication with overseas partners, and take responsibility for lead times and delivery. You deal with us at every step.
Low Cost Tooling for Plastic Injection Moulding
RP has extensive experience in plastic injection moulding, working across a wide range of production intent polymers including PEEK, ABS, PC/ABS, PA6, PA66 and TPU, with capability across overmoulding, insert moulding and hot plate welding. We offer a full range of finishing options including high polish, bead blast, VDI, textured and branded finishes.
For prototype and low-volume production, we manufacture aluminium mould tooling in-house and run the moulding ourselves, giving customers functional parts in production intent materials without committing to full production tooling.
When volumes increase and the design is proven, we transition to cost-effective steel production tooling sourced through our overseas partner network, with RP managing quality and delivery throughout. For customers bringing a new plastic component to market, it is a complete, managed route from first shot to mass production.
